Use and Purpose

Blancco Stealth will prevent data recovery from lost or stolen personal computers or when unauthorised access is possible. A variety of preventative in life uses are possible:-

  • Safeguarding data during logistics; securing for shipping and returns.
  • IT support functions can safeguard data when temporarily storing or maintaining a customer PC.
  • User can protect sensitive data when exposed to a theft risk e.g. traveling with a laptop.
  • Onsite use at end of life to activate safeguard before sending to a recycler or service partner for reuse preparation.

Benefits

  • Well hidden in the Operating System it is extremely difficult to detect. Blancco Stealth starts automatically to erase data in the background without the unauthorised user’s knowledge giving the impression that OS is being loaded.
  • Flexible user control. The safe guard tools in the software can be programmed to activate on a variety of parameters, wrong password, specific date or after a certain number of boot ups.
  • Different levels of security can be selected; lock the hard drive, erase data on the hard drive or both.
  • Can be installed directly from CD to the beginning of the HDD for quick data protection.
